Performance Characteristics for Non-Invasive DNA-Based Prenatal Screening

Since the advent a few years ago of DNA-based non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT), substantial data have accrued regarding the performance characteristics (sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, negative predictive value) of this testing. Warde Medical Laboratory provides access to the Panorama prenatal screening test by Natera, Inc.

Here is a table, provided by Natera, that lists the performance characteristics of the Panorama screen for the detection of aneuploidy, microdeletions, and other genetic syndromes. This table is not routinely included in each result reported through Warde result interfaces, but is provided here for reference.
