Specimen Required
Draw blood in a SST tube. Centrifuge, separate and send 1.0 mL (0.5 mL minimum) refrigerated. Samples from children <1 year of age will be sent out for testing by Tandem Mass Spectrometry. See "17-Hydroxyprogesterone Quantitative, Child".

Serum: Red-top

Rejection Criteria
Gross hemolysis, gross lipemia, EDTA plasma, <1 yr old
