Specimen Required
Patient Preparation: Refrain from alcohol consumption 24 hours prior to collection. Collect 24 hour urine, keep refrigerated during collection. Mix well and send 4.0 mL urine (1.2 mL minimum) refrigerated in an amber screw-capped plastic vial. PROTECT FROM LIGHT. Record total volume on test requisition and specimen label.
