Specimen Required
Patient Preparation: Patient should fast 12 hours. Collect sample between 8-10 a.m. Draw blood in plain red-top tube. Allow blood to clot 10-15 minutes at room temperature, then centrifuge, separate and send 1.0 mL serum (0.5 mL minimum) frozen in a screw-capped plastic vial.

Rejection Criteria
Moderate to gross hemolysis, gross lipemia, grossly icteric
