Specimen Required
Draw blood in dark blue no additive tube. Allow sample to clot for 30 minutes, centrifuge, and separate serum from cells within 2 hours by carefully pouring serum into an aliquot tube. Send 1.0 mL serum (0.5 mL minimum) refrigerated in a screw-capped plastic vial. Do not insert a pipette into the serum to remove from cells.
