Prenatal Screen Information Sheet

Components
Includes: Alpha-Fetoprotein (AFP), Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (hCG), Unconjugated Estriol (UE3), and Inhibin A
Requires results from Full Integrated Screen Part I (Maternal Serum).
Screens for Down syndrome, neural tube defects (NTD) & Trisomy 18.

Specimen Required
Draw blood in a plain red-top tube. Centrifuge, separate serum from cells within 2 hours of collection and send 1.0 mL serum (0.6 mL minimum) frozen within 48 hours in a screw-capped plastic tube. Sample should be collected between 15 weeks 0 days and 22 weeks 6 days gestation. Completed prenatal information sheet found in the appendices of the Test Directory must accompany sample.
