Specimen Required
Patient Preparation: Avoid seafood consumption 48 hours prior to specimen collection. Collection material such as alcohol swabs should be lead free. Use powder-free gloves during collection.
Draw blood in a dark blue EDTA tube. Send 4.0 whole blood (2.0 mL minimum) refrigerated in original tube. A completed heavy metal form must accompany sample.
