Specimen Required
Draw blood carefully in a green sodium or lithium heparin tube, using a 19-gauge needle to avoid hemolysis. Separate plasma from cells within 1 hour of collection, and send 1.0 mL plasma (0.2 mL minimum) refrigerated in a screw-capped plastic vial. DO NOT FREEZE SPECIMENS.
