METHYL BROMIDE METABOLITE, SERUM/PLASMA

Specimen Required
Avoid exposure to gadolinium or iodine based contrast media for 96 hours prior to specimen collection. Do not use disinfectant containing iodine, such as Betadine prior to draw.
Draw blood in a dark blue EDTA. Centrifuge, separate serum from cells within 2 hours of collection and send 2.0 mL serum (0.7 mL minimum) refrigerated in a ARUP blue-capped metal-free screw-capped plastic vial.
