Specimen Required
Draw blood in two dark blue EDTA trace metal tubes. Centrifuge and remove plasma, leaving RBC's in the original collection container, and secure stopper. Send 5.0 mL RBC's (1.8 mL minimum) refrigerated.

Rejection Criteria
Specimens received room temperature or frozen. Tubes containing heparin-based anticogaulants are not acceptable. ACD, sodium citreate, sodium fluoride, lavender EDTA also not acceptable.
