N-TELOPEPTIDE, CROSS-LINKED, SERUM

Specimen Required
Draw blood in a SST tube. Centrifuge, separate serum from gel ASAP and send 1.0 mL serum (0.5 mL minimum) frozen in a screw-capped plastic vial.
For monitoring therapy, baseline samples should be collected just prior to or on the day of therapy initiation. Subsequent specimens for comparison should be collected at approximately the same time of day ast he baseline specimen.

Alternate Specimen
Serum: Red-top, remove serum from cells ASAP and send frozen.
