| Draw blood in red-top tube. Gently invert tube 5 times. DO NOT SHAKE. Allow specimen to clot completely (about 30 minutes). Centrifuge for 10 minutes. Separate serum from cells and send 1.0 mL serum (0.5 mL minimum) refrigerated in a screw-capped plastic vial. |
