Specimen Required
Patient Preparation: Patient should fast overnight, and refrain from Vitamin C intake for 24 hours.
Draw blood in a green lithium heparin tube. Centrifuge, separate as soon as possible (within 2 hours) and send 2.0 mL plasma (1.0 mL minimum) frozen in an amber screw-capped plastic tube. CRITICAL FROZEN. PROTECT FROM LIGHT.
