Place 10.0 g stool in a Total-Fix® vial within 30 minutes of collection.

Alternate Specimen

Stool: 10% formalin and PVA

Sputum or BAL (preserved): Submit 10.0 mL sputum or BAL in 10% formalin or in a sterile screw capped plastic container.

Urine: Please call lab

Minimum Volume

5.0 g or 5.0 mL
