Specimen source required. Collect endocervical, vaginal or male urethral swab and place in Aptima Combo II or Aptima Multitest transport media. First void urine in Aptima urine transport tube. Liquid level must fall between the two black indicator lines. Dedicated specimens are required.

Specimens submitted with the white cleaning swab or with two swabs.
Aptima Transport tubes without swabs.
Swabs in gel, wooden swabs, dry swabs, Culturettes.
Viral transport medium, BD transports, Universal Transport media, or other transport systems not listed above.
Urine specimens where the liquid level in the urine transport tube does not fall between the two black indicator lines.
Urine specimens in sterile containers that have exceeded the 24 hour stability.
SurePath, Qiagen/Digene cervical samplers, and other liquid cytology specimens not mentioned above.
Specimens collected in Universal Transport Medium (UTM).
