Specimen Preparation

Place 10.0 g in a Total-Fix® vial within 30 minutes of collection. Fill to the line on the transport vial.

Alternate Specimen

Stool: 10% formalin

Minimum Volume

5.0 g or 5.0 mL

Rejection Criteria

Received frozen. Unpreserved stool. Stool specimens preserved in transport media not listed as acceptable

Stability
