24 hour urine
Specimen Preparation
Specimen MUST be refrigerated during entire collection period. Mix the 24 hour collection well, adjust pH to 1.5 - 2.0 by adding 6M HCl in 1.0 mL increments and send 3.0 mL urine refrigerated in a screw capped plastic vial. Record total volume, pH and collection time interval on specimen label.
