24-hour urine (refrigerate during collection)
Specimen Preparation
Collect 24 hour urine, refrigerate during collection. Do not use preservative. Start collection after first morning void and collect through first morning void of the next day. Mix 24 hour collection well and send 1.8 mL urine frozen in a screw-capped plastic vial. Record total volume on test requisition and specimen label.
