Specimen Information
Patient Preparation
Patient should be fasting and at rest. Patient should not do any exercise of the arm or hand before or during collection.
Collect
Gray sodium fluoride/potassium oxalate tube and chill on ice immediately.
Specimen Preparation
Centrifuge specimen within 15 minutes of collection. Remove plasma and send 1.0 mL plasma in a screw capped plastic vial.

Hemolyzed, EDTA, citrate, or iodoacetate as anticoagulants. Tubes less than half full.
